When administered on a monthly basis, this tablet also aids in heartworm prevention for your beloved feline companions. It comes in two variants, suitable for both kittens and small cats, as well as larger cats. The tablet is infused with a delectable beef flavour, ensuring that your cats will eagerly consume it. Specifically formulated for kittens and small cats weighing between 0.5 and 2.0 kg, this tablet is effective and safe.
It is important to note that this tablet can be used by pregnant and lactating cats. Despite its small size, compared to other products, it has proven to be highly efficient in safeguarding cats against gastrointestinal worms. Milbemax tablets for small cats (0.5-2 kg) can be given to cats weighing over 0.5 kg and aged 6 weeks or older.
Here are the recommended dosage guidelines based on bodyweight:
- For cats weighing 0.5-1.0 kg, administer half (1/2) a tablet (oblong pink).
- For cats weighing between 1.0 kg and 2.0 kg, administer one full tablet (oblong pink).
For adult cats weighing up to 2 kg, treat them with this tablet every 3 months.
For kittens over 6 weeks old, treat them at 6, 8, and 12 weeks of age, and then every 3 months thereafter.
For small pregnant cats, treat them during mating and prior to the birth of the kittens.
For lactating small cats, treat them when the kittens reach 6, 8, and 12 weeks of age, and then every 3 months.
Milbemax provides broad-spectrum protection against common intestinal worms. When given every 3 months, it effectively treats and controls hookworm, roundworm, and tapeworm infections in both dogs and cats. Additionally, it treats and controls whipworm in dogs. The convenience of Milbemax lies in its simple administration—a single tiny tablet every 3 months is all it takes.
